With the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, various technology companies around the world are taking one tough decision after another against Russia.

Microsoft shutdown Services In Russia

Western governments, world sports organizations, and even large corporations have condemned the Russian attack and imposed various sanctions on Russia. In the meantime, Microsoft has recently announced that it will stop selling its products and services in Russia.
Microsoft’s computer operating system Windows is currently used by more than 1 billion people worldwide. Millions of users will be affected as Microsoft’s sales and services shut down in Russia.

Microsoft chairman Brad Smith said in a blog post: “Like anywhere else in the world, we in Ukraine are horrified, angry, and saddened by the images and news of the battlefield.” We condemn this unjust, unwarranted, and illegal attack by Russia.
Earlier last week, Apple also banned the sale of all its products in Russia. In addition to halting sales of its products in Russia, Apple has removed Russian news agency RT and Sputnik’s mobile app from the App Store.
Apple’s Apple Pay service is also closed in Russia. The decision was made following a letter from Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov.
